₹30,000 Smartphone or Secret Flagship? Motorola Edge 60 Pro Left Us Shocked!

Hey folks, ever since the Motorola Edge 60 Pro was announced, curiosity has been sky-high, mainly because the Edge 60 Pro was well-received, but still had a lot of room for improvement. Now that the Edge 60 Pro is officially launched and we’ve tested it extensively with everyday use for weeks, it’s time to uncover the full truth. How’s the display? Does the battery last a full day? Is the camera truly “Pro” or just in name? And most importantly, is it really worth ₹30,000?

Let’s dive into the full story — because this blog isn’t just about specs, it’s all about real-life experience.

Display Experience

Friends, the first major highlight of the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is its display. When the phone was launched, the most talked-about feature was the quad-curved display. It’s a significant upgrade from the Edge 60 Pro, and this time, Motorola has really tried to offer a premium feel. The display is a 6.67-inch POLED panel that supports a 120Hz high refresh rate. The colors are punchy and saturated, and 10-bit HDR content plays with impressive clarity.

The quad-curve is quite broad, but surprisingly, we didn’t face any accidental touches, which is a big plus. With DCI-P3 color gamut and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, the display feels immersive. However, one downside is that there’s no option to switch resolutions, like toggling between FHD+ and 1.5K. Still, the multimedia experience, especially HDR and Full HD playback on Netflix and Prime Video, is very satisfying.

Software Experience

This phone runs on Hello UI, which offers a near-stock Android experience. It’s based on Android 15, and Motorola promises 3 years of major updates. But everything isn’t perfect — security updates tend to arrive with delays. For example, at the time of our video shoot, the device still had only the April patch.

The good part is that there’s no unnecessary bloatware. Apps like Facebook and LinkedIn come pre-installed but can be uninstalled easily. There are no ads, poster notifications, or glance-based distractions. However, the UI might feel a bit dull if you’re someone who enjoys customization-heavy interfaces. Motorola AI 2.0 is also included, offering some handy AI features.

Battery and Charging Performance

Motorola Edge 60 Pro has nailed it in the battery department. The phone packs a massive 6000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. In our real-world testing, only 59% battery was drained after 13 hours of 4K YouTube playback. Even for heavy users, the phone comfortably lasts a full day.

It takes around 55–56 minutes for a full charge, and you get up to 50% charge in just 20 minutes. Battery optimization is excellent. Even after a full day of heavy usage, there’s still 10–15% battery left — quite impressive.

Camera

The camera department leaves us with mixed feelings. The rear setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT700C main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide with macro capabilities, and a 10MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom. The telephoto lens performs well, especially with its zoom window feature that helps in adjusting focus better during zoom.

Zoom shots in both day and night conditions came out well, though color boosting was quite noticeable. Portrait shots also appeared oversaturated, turning a green shirt yellow or orange, into red was clearly visible. Still, edge detection, clarity, and zoom levels were all satisfactory.

Night photography has seen good improvements, delivering sharp images with minimal flares and ghosting. The selfie camera performs well in both day and low-light conditions. In terms of video, daytime rear footage had some flickering issues, but selfie and night-time rear videos performed better.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro Performance

Motorola Edge 60 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, built on a 4nm process. It’s quite capable of daily use and heavy multitasking. We ran benchmark tests on AnTuTu and Geekbench — the results were decent, though other phones with the same chipset scored slightly higher.

Thermal performance is well-managed. Even under stress testing, the temperature stayed between 42–43°C, which is acceptable. There were some stability issues in the 3DMark test, but overall heat management was under control.

With LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, multitasking and file transfers feel smooth. App launches, switching, and gaming were fluid. However, a few apps didn’t stay in memory if left unused for a while.

Gaming Performance

For gamers, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro might be a bit of a letdown. Games like BGMI and Call of Duty max out at 60fps — there’s no 90fps or 120fps support. However, gameplay remained smooth, with no heating issues and minimal frame drops.

Network and Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 14 5G bands and comes with Wi-Fi 6E support. It also includes Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It supports dual nano SIMs, but there’s no mention of eSIM support. IP68 rating and MIL-STD-grade durability make the phone rugged and reliable.

Design and Feel

Motorola has gone with vegan leather on the back, which gives the phone a premium look. The frame is made of polycarbonate but comes with a matte finish that resists fingerprints. With an 8.2mm thickness and 186g weight, the phone feels well-balanced in hand. Despite having a 6000mAh battery, it still feels light and comfortable to hold.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro Price in India

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is priced at ₹29,999 in India for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It’s available in two colors – Midnight Blue and Leather Beige. You can buy it on Flipkart, Motorola.com, and through leading offline stores.

Final Verdict

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is a well-balanced smartphone. Improvements have been made across battery, display, and performance. The camera is a bit of a mixed bag, but still very usable. The software is clean, although it may feel a bit bland if you’re used to more vibrant UIs.

Most importantly, Motorola needs to work on delivering timely updates. If the brand can fix that, this phone can definitely become a strong contender in its category. If you’re looking for a device with long battery life, a clean user experience, and a decent camera, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is a solid choice.
